Time For A Slow Down

March is here already? I cannot believe how quickly this year is flying by. The past twelve months seems to have gone by so fast for me. It seems like there is constantly something happening or needing to happen. Work has been busy, there has been events with family members that need attention, not to mention my own family’s goals that have really taken a back seat to everything else in life.

For 2 years now we have planned to sell our house and make a move back home to be closer to family. For 2 years now, this has been procrastinated and put off. The list of to-do’s to make this happen seem to be getting longer as well. We were hoping to have our current house listed for sale by the end of 2017, but with our new baby on the way, the time frame got pushed further out. But I know everything will happen in the time it is meant to.

March 1st was also my daughter’s birthday. We have a 4 year old!! I really can’t believe it. Her third birthday party was just the other day, and a couple weeks before that I was bringing her home, brand new, from the hospital. Can we press the pause button for a while? Or even just turn time in slow motion? She will be a big sister this year, and starting school! So many major events and changes happening for my family, 2018 is going to be a year of change and growth!

Our 2nd child, a girl, will be here in early May, possibly late April! And you know what I’ve done to prepare? Still nothing. The house needs cleaned, to put on the market and welcome our new baby, and the only thing I have for her is clothes. Baby’s don’t need much though, right? Just love and attention. At least that’s what I tell myself to stay calm. Wait….they need diapers too. I’ll make sure some newborn sizes are on the grocery list this week and then we should be totally prepared.

Life has just been moving way to fast to be able to completely enjoy it. I know some of it is the pregnancy hormones, but I am just so overwhelmed, exhausted, and ready for a slow down and something different. I don’t see this happening unless I’m the one to make it happen! I have always been one to embrace new adventures and get excited about life altering changes and decisions. Maybe I’ve gone crazy, but this month there will be a major reveal of the next chapter of our lives.

If you are not 100% happy where you are or with the road you are on, you’re the only one who can change it! Be brave, take risks, and remember, if your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough! If something is calling to you, follow your heart and trust in the universe to take you where you’re meant to be.
